Thank you for your interest in the Sac City Rollers Rec League Program! Rec League was designed to not only provide core basic training to up and coming and returning derby skaters, but also to accommodate those who would love to play the sport but do not have the time/desire to do so competitively.

We’ve also found it has become the perfect boot-camp style primer for those looking to prepare for SCR tryouts. Our classes are for women 18 & older (no limit on age) and is designed for women of all shapes & sizes (no weight or height requirement).

Time: Mondays, 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Please show up at 5:30 p.m. to fill out paperwork during your first session)

2016  Session Dates:

  • February 22nd - March 28th, 2016
  • April 25th - May 30th, 2016

Location: The Cell Block (1636 Kathleen Ave., Sacramento CA 95815)

Cost: $10 per class or only $50 if you pre-register for the entire session.

Please Bring: A mouth guard, a pair of quad roller skates, tennis shoes and a water bottle. Roller derby requires a helmet, wrist guards, knee pads and elbow pads. We do have some loaner gear but it is always best if you have your own.

By the end of this course you will be knowledgeable about roller derby core basics as well as scrimmaging and rules. Get started learning the rules by coming to our games and studying up online at
